What Is Endometriosis?

If you are unsure of what Endometriosis is, we can help you understand this condition and inform you of the steps to take when discovering you have this disease.

Endometriosis is an extremely painful and devastating condition that develops when endometrial-like mucosal cells are found in other parts of the body. Normally found in the lining of the uterus, these cells can be upsetting to deal with as they operate like normal; regardless of being outside the uteri. As the body is aware of the unnatural growths, this means that the result is a battle between the disease and your body’s immune system; causing extreme symptoms to evolve such as infertility.

Common symptoms can include extreme period pain, pelvic pain and pain while urinating, though many women will experience additional symptoms depending on the stage their form of the disease is at. These stages can develop into more severe cases if not dealt with as soon as possible. In some instances there are risks of endometriosis causing failures within the body. That is why we offer our support.

Here at the Endometriosis Centre, we offer support for this disease in the form of diagnosis and treatment to ensure that you can live happy. We understand the severity of this issue and will endeavour to ensure you are aware of the circumstances.
